As our journey continues downriver, we remember the sound of Krishna’s flute and of Radha’s tinkling bells. The mood deepens as we sing from the quiet depths of our hearts, expressing our song of love and longing to merge with the beautiful Govinda. Govinda, another name for Krishna, means the one who fulfills all our desires. He satisfies our soul so completely that we are satiated with the experience of pure divine love. Our yearning for material life dissolves into the ecstasy of
loving Govinda. We are enraptured as we sing the Maha Mantra together with our sangha (spiritual family).

All glories to Govinda (Lord Krishna), the one who fulfills all desires.
All glories to Gopala, protector of the cows and beloved of the Gopis.
All glories to the lover of Sri Radha (who is perfectly expert in delighting Sri Radhe).

Known as the Maha Mantra, this mantra is to glorify and call to the supreme god and goddess of love, Sri Sri Radha Krishna.
“Hare” represents the feminine energy of “God,” and Krishna is the male aspect. “Rama” is another name, or aspect, of Sri Krishna, which means the beloved of Radhe.
