Bow to You 08:03
Chords: Am-F-C-G Vs. You're the Creator. You're the Sustainer. You're the Destroyer of all. You're my lover. You're my partner. You're my teacher of all. Ch. I bow to you. Vs. You are the earth from which all things grow. You are the water, the eternal flow. You are the fire that glows on and on. You are the air I breath in for this song. Ch. Vs. You are the sweetness that embraces me. You are the all pervading truth and beauty. You are the infinite love, bestower of grace. You are the compassion, the healing space. Ch. Mantra "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo" Ong Namo -I bow to the subtle divine wisdom Guru Dev Namo - I bow to the divine teacher within. Yogi Bhajan taught this is ancient yogic mantra as a tool to relate instantly to the divine teacher within. Adi means primal or first. In Kundalini yoga, this is the first mantra that should be used for any yogic or meditative practice. It is used to tune in before Kundalini Yoga classes, to center us in the higher self, and to spiritually guide both the teacher and the students during the class.
3.
Chords: Vs: Asus-A-AaugD Ch:E-D-A Gurbani (Sikh) chant. Wahe Guru-The ecstasy and totality of the Universe. Wahe Jio: Jio is the soul. In essence it is a mantra for the soul and infinite to merge. A calling out to be one with infinity or God.
4.
Musical chords vs. D-Am ch. Am-D vs. The seasons come and they go, changing over time. The leaves will grow and fall, the cycles of life. But you are the constant, ever in my life. The light in my heart. The thought of you brings so much joy. The thought of you brings me home. The thought of you brings me to my knees. Knowing there's so much more. ch. How may I serve you more. How may I love you more. How may I be closer to you. vs. You are the wind, that presses against my sails. The stars that Shine bright, through the thickest veils. You are this vessel, carrying me along the way. Ever from my heart. ch. Mantra: Jai Jai Jai Jagadambe (A mantra giving praise and connect with the divine mother of the universe) Ma: Another name for the divine mother. Mother of love. Mother of my heart. Mother of my soul. Mother of all.
5.
Chords Vs. D-G Ch. A-E-D Vs. Oh the roads you'll travel Oh the things you'll see Oh the lives you'll live Oh the things you'll be Traveling on this road Ever towards the one. Down through the sun's halo, White as the snow. Flies the dove of love Perched on my shoulder now And nuzzles against my cheek Telling me what's to be. Ch. This is one dove's dedication to the flower of life. Vs. To live from the heart is to live to be free, And give thanks to the mother for she is the seed. When we came from the stars and the heavens to the Sea, to the earth where we placed our own bare feet She embraced us with her love and said you are welcome child of God. Take care of the land from there you will eat Keep the water clean from there you will drink The sun ray's gold will bath your soul And the air you breath in will energize The whole of your being, connected to all that is. Purify the body, purify the mind, then songs you will sing to know the divine. Speak truth from your words and all will reveal, reflections we are all on this wheel. Spinning through space and time, one more journey closer to the divine. To serve and be served is one way to be free And to love and to give unconditionally Hold reverence for life and all you perceive For this life is what you make it to be And let grace fall upon you for you will know that you are infinity Ch.
6.
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare This is known as the Maha Mantra, especially for Radhe and Krishna devotees. Hare is a name for Radhe or Radha, the incarnation of pure love in feminine form. Krishna and Rama are both names for the masculine incarnation of love. The Maha Mantra is a mystical chant of God in the form of Krishna and Hare calling out to each other to be one. Jaya Lakshmi Vs. In the shelter of this sacred grove, A wondrous blessing of love to behold. Merging once again with your beauty, I'm feeling your love so deeply. And from this place we will carry on, In the sweet land of Vrindavan Glorifying the love supreme Our every breath an offering. Ananda Vs. The flute of love trickles out, Songs I've known before. The music draws me to your essence, This place that I adore. And you embrace me with your arms, Eyes merged with mine. Lips connect, souls enmeshed, With the splendor of the divine. Together And in your presence I am, Closer than ever before. I seek not the gates of heaven, For heaven is here adorned With the hearts of those, Who have given all, Thy blessings unto thee, Reflections of eternal light, Giving bliss eternally.

This is album is part of the double disc "Live at the Altar of Love". The two albums were recorded at the same time at the LakshmiAnanda Yoga Space. This disc is composed primarily of music that Ananda wrote with additional lyrics and singing by Jaya Lakshmi. The same group of musicians was also used for this album. Special thanks to Simrit Kaur for joining us on the 'Wahe Guru' track.

These albums are a collaboration of music that represent some of their deepest, most intimate connection with the transcendental love and beauty of the divine. They represent their soul's journey and personal longing for the Divine. They are routinely in their daily practice for merging with Ananda (Bliss of the Divine). The two of them collaborated on each others albums along with their fantastic band to create these bhakti-filled magical albums.

The intention for making these albums was to share with all beings a very intimate way of merging with the divine. Music that would be healing, meditative, heartfelt and timeless. They mix English, Sanskrit and Gurmuki as a bridge for all those who have mysteriously been called to Yoga or teachings from India. The English connects our hearts and the ancient languages align our frequency.

"Our prayer is that this music will be a gem that lights your way on this path towards light, love and truth.
With the utmost love and gratitude, we present this triumph of work and share with you the deepest parts of our souls."

Namaste (I see the divine in you and that reflection within myself) and Sat Nam (True Nature),

Ananda and Jaya Lakshmi

"The beautiful Kirtan of Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda reflects years of devotional practice, a passion for Mantra and music, and a deep love for each other." Jai Uttal

"From the heart-opening strains of their sumptuous traditional kirtan to the wild blend of contemporary rhythms and sounds they call Kirtronica, Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda's divine harmonies will keep you riding waves of devotion from the meditation hall to the dance floor, and most everyplace in between. " Janet Stone
